Sterling uses a single column that reads top to bottom, with a large name and contact details on one line in a left-aligned header.
Typography is Libre Baskerville for the name and headings with Lato for the text — serif headings over a sans body, a mix that looks editorial without feeling old-fashioned. Sections use plain section titles with no rules, and each entry shows dates right-aligned on each entry with dash bullets.
Skills appear as as a comma-separated line. The default accent is #1A1916; 8 presets are one click away and any color can be typed in, and fonts, spacing and margins are adjustable after you pick it.
Best for
- Any role where the application goes through an applicant tracking system first
- Law, finance, academia, government and other conservative fields
- Longer careers that need to fit on one or two pages
Applicant tracking systems
