What we store
Your resume, without an account: in your browser only (local storage). We have no copy. Clearing your browser data deletes it — sign in if you want a copy kept online.
Your resume, if you sign in: signing in is optional. If you do, your resumes and your download pass are also saved to your account so you can open them on other devices. They are stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) under your user ID, readable only by you, and are deleted when you delete a resume or your account from the account page. We do not read them.
Your account: the email address, display name and profile picture your sign-in provider (Google, or email and password) gives us, plus the time you last signed in. Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see them.
Your download pass: a signed token in your browser (and in your account, if signed in) and the payment record at Razorpay (payment ID, amount, the email you entered, time). We keep a matching record of the payment ID, email and pass validity for support and accounting.
Messages you send us: what you type into the contact form, with your email, is emailed to us and kept in our support records so we can reply and keep track of the conversation.
What leaves your browser
- Import: the file you upload is sent to our server to extract its text, then passed to an AI model provider to structure it. Neither we nor the provider store it after the response.
- AI writing / tailoring: the relevant resume text and, for tailoring, the job description you paste are sent to the AI provider to generate a response. Not stored.
- Payment: handled entirely by Razorpay. We never see your card or bank details. The email you enter is used for the receipt and to identify the payment if you ask for support.
Cookies and analytics
DopeResume sets no tracking cookies and runs no advertising trackers. Standard server logs (IP address, request path, time) are kept briefly for abuse prevention and rate limiting, and we count how often features are used, without identifying who used them.
Third parties
Razorpay (payments), Google Firebase (sign-in and saved resumes, only if you sign in), our hosting provider, an email provider for receipts and support messages, and an AI model provider for the AI features. Each processes only what is needed for that feature.
Your rights
You can see, open and delete every resume saved to your account, and delete the account itself, from the account page — no request needed. Without an account, your resume never reaches us, so there is nothing for us to export or delete beyond the payment record, which we retain as required for accounting. For anything else, .
